Quality and Professional Crack Sealing – Hampton Roads and Surrounding Areas

Do you have a crack sealing project we can help with?

What is crack sealing?

Crack sealing is a pavement preservation service that prevents water, debris, and chemicals from entering cracks in asphalt pavement. By sealing cracks early, property owners can help extend pavement life and reduce costly repairs.

Why does crack sealing matter?

Water is one of the biggest causes of asphalt failure. Crack sealing with hot rubberized crack fill and asphalt mastics helps protect pavement from water damage, slows deterioration, and preserves your investment for years to come.

Benefits of crack sealing:

  • Prevents water intrusion
  • Extends pavement life
  • Reduces pothole formation
  • Flexible and durable
  • Cost-effective preventative maintenance

Frequently Asked Questions:

You need to make sure all cars are clear from the area that will be crack sealed and have a tow truck on standby.

Our team will:

  • Mechanically clean all cracks using high-pressure air, wire brushes, or rotary cutters to remove vegetation, dirt, and debris.
  • Ensure cracks are fully dried before sealing.
  • Route wider cracks where necessary to create uniform reservoirs for sealant adhesion.
First, we apply hot-pour rubberized crack sealant at manufacturer-specified temperatures. Next, we finish with a slight band application to create a watertight seal, preventing further deterioration.
We use a product called Mastic which is a structural repair when applied. It utilizes special aggregate wit hot rubberized sealant.

The sub-base has deteriorated through water intrusion, which crack filler will not repair or stop. Best practice would be to sawcut and patch.

Typically, whenever you sealcoat you should always crack fill (every 2-3 years). You can do maintenance touch ups yearly for just crack sealing.
